marco rubio

I had a lot of fun photographing the Marco Rubio watch party on Saturday night. It is so cool that history is in the making right here in our own city! Some technical problems I ran into were struggling with the correct settings on my camera and not having the perfect lens for the assignment. Next time I am definitely renting out a 60D instead of using my own camera! I had a 50 mm and a telephoto 70-200 but neither were ideal for pictures within the crowd. Otherwise I had a lot of fun with this assignment, the crowd was a bit overwhelming but I think I still got some great pictures and I am really proud of the work that I put into this. It feels really cool that just carrying around a camera at an event like this allowed me to meet other photographers and network with some cool political people in the area!
